Scorers: Cam - 2, Sinclair - 2, Jezza - 1, Scott M - 1

Game 2 v North Canterbury, Riccarton Domain, 12 April, Result 3-1 win

It's all about breaking down their 9 man defence! Turns out Gus is human after all as he was beaten for the first time this season. Koresh you need to look at this lad.

Scorers: Finn - 2, Jezza - 1

Game 3 v Coastal Spirit, Bexley, 19 April, Result 4-2 loss

Up by 1 early on and looking good. Unfortunately Coastal got the next 4. A late consolation goal by Cameron.

Scorers: Finn - 1, Cameron - 1

Game 4 v Parklands, Parklands, 26 April, Result 1-1 draw

The expectation of a big win against the bottom side proved too much. The guys now face a big test of character to move on and rebuild their season.

Chatham Cup Round 1 v North Canterbury, 17 May, Result 5-0 win

Chatham cup games can always be difficult. We approached this one after a good run of form with 3 good performances put together and not underestimating North Canterbury who had picked up a point from Cashmere the previous week. With plenty of talent in the squad up front but not yet finding the right combinations Sinclair was given a run with the Reserves.

Scott Marrow threatened early, running on to long balls from our keeper Gus. Scott was rewarded tucking the ball past the keeper with Cameron adding one mid way through the half. Jules, Josh and Sam asserted the dominance over a 5 man Nth Canterbury midfield. A display of possession football using the wide men should have produced more goals but we went in happy at 2 nil up.

North Canterbury tired in the second half but didn't sit back in their box and defend which helped us continue to attack wide then cut in. We were rewarded with three goals in the second half to Cameron, Sam and Jules and could have had more. Well done to a composed back 4 looking to attack.

We look forward to tougher opposition in the next round and hope the draw is kind and we don't get a trip to Nelson.

Scorers: Cameron - 2, Scott M - 1 , Julian - 1, Sam - 1

Game 7 v Cashmere, Hillmorton, 24 May, Result 1-0 loss

Couldn't get a win for Gus's last game.

A fantastic result. Coverage in both the Press and the Star. Heroic effort by James Anderson in goal.

Game 10 v Coastal, Riccarton Domain, 21 June, Result 3-0 loss

We came crashing back to earth after our great game last week. 3 mistakes before half time means we can now concentrate on the Cup.
